Project Officer (PSEA & Safeguarding focal point)

•Ensure the development of MASAR HD internal procedures for staff and other personnel to report incidents of CSG and sexual exploitation and abuse.
•Develop and conduct awareness-raising activities/sessions for local communities on PSEA and reporting pathways.
•Ensure that PSEA content is included in staff induction, contracts and subcontracting, and job evaluation criteria.
•In addition, being the liaison between the Organization and the Inter-Agency Community Based Complaints Mechanism.
•Provide specialist technical advice to all related planning, design, implementation, tracking, and reporting processes.
•Support the Programs Team in ensuring activities are in line with the approved project proposal, budget, and implementation plan.
•Support the programs team in drafting and preparing concept notes and proposals.
•Prepare, update, and implement project work plans and review progress monthly with input from partners and all team members.
•Prepare and submit weekly and monthly activities progress reports about project implementation, draft all technical narrative reports and other internal program reports, and submit to the Program Manager for review
•Support staff to manage all aspects of the project cycle including planning, implementation, and monitoring.
•Ensure and supervise the documentation of the project for all stages.
•Prepare additional reports and presentations as needed, like steering committees, and follow-up meetings.
•Attending project-related meetings and training.
•Ensure all project documentation and reports are produced on time.
•Collect data on project indicators and maintain an updated database on project progress.
•Promote the organization’s image in the community by attending meetings and related field activities.
•Capacity building related to GBV, Child protection to field staff.
•Comply fully and ensure stakeholders’ compliance with MASAR HD Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.
•Respect and apply all the PSEA principles and show high commitment to reporting any SEA action.
•Perform other tasks and duties as requested by the management

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in management or social sciences, or a related field, and university students with at least two academic years are sufficient.
• Three years’ experience in managing humanitarian projects.
• Three years of experience in the field of humanitarian work (within the protection sector and the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse is a priority).
• Three years of experience in planning and implementing humanitarian project activities (within the protection and prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse sector is a priority).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• The ability to work effectively and creatively within a team.
• The ability to prepare project reports (quarterly, final and monthly).
• Ability to manage local staff in an effective, respectful and impartial manner.
• Ability to multitask and handle competing requests under urgent deadlines.
• Knowledge of coordination mechanisms with all stakeholders within the areas of work and humanitarian   project implementation.
• Understanding of referral systems, protection from sexual exploitation and abuse, and GBV mechanisms.
• Commitment to support the policy of gender-based violence and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse, in addition to the principles of confidentiality.
