Food Aid For An Emergency Response For Idps In North Syria

The main objective of this project is respond to the displacement wave as fast as possible before
harsh winter conditions come that influx has aggravated socio-economic pressures and
vulnerabilities among the communities.
Due to the emergency needs of these people, MASAR HD with support from Welthungerhilfe (WHH)
aims to respond to it as fast as possible before harsh winter conditions come.
To achieve this goal, MASAR HD with Welthungerhilfe (WHH) is planning to distribute (3,500)
hygiene kits and (1,150) NFI Vouchers (NFIV) distribution and (4,000) food assistance Vouchers for
the most vulnerable people including affected internally displaced people (IDP) and host
communities (HC) in Idleb governorate inside Syria.
The distribution of NFI Voucher and hygiene kit distribution activities took a place during in Harim
sub-district to alleviate harsh winter conditions for People in Need (PIN), the most vulnerable
households, and reduce dependence on negative coping strategies.

As an emergency response, MASAR HD was distributed a One-Off NFI voucher worth (75 $) to (1,150)
households (HHs) and hygiene kits to (2,377) households (HHs), who are newly internally displaced
persons (IDPs) in 17 camps in the Harim subdistrict, based on the selection criteria that approved by
MASAR HD and Welthungerhilfe (WHH).
